Liberal bicycle commuter, political junkie, policy junkie, free thinker, I've got too many titles. All in all I'll leave it with a quote from the late Senator Paul Wellstone of Minn. "Politics is not about big money and power games, it's about the improvment of peoples lives."

I Guess The Britts Are A Tad More Progressive

Oh shit, take that Bunny Pants, guess your ideological way of thinking is getting dissed by the British. The "global gag rule" at best is a pay back to the fundies who put Bunny Pants in office. Because of ideologues women all over the world do not have the ability to seek a safe option to end a pregnancy. Instead the U.S. is content on women seeking unsafe ends to their pregnancy. I'm here to tell you, overturn Roe and your going to be finding 14 and 15 year old girls bled out in alleys, vacant houses and on church stairs. Here's my thought, I believe that other nations will step up to bat and replace the funding that the U.S. has refused to offer. I believe some other nations have human dignity, human well being, human happiness, and for christ sake "the pursuit of happiness" more on the front burner than we do.

No matter what you think about abortion you can not deny that it is not good policy that promotes human suffering and human death. "just have the child and give it up for adoption." Many times easier said than done. Many factors contribute to that not being a possibility. Let me just pose this question, is it not odd that we are the pretty much the only country in the civilized world that carries this point of view about international funding of abortion counseling? What does that say about us?
