Liberal bicycle commuter, political junkie, policy junkie, free thinker, I've got too many titles. All in all I'll leave it with a quote from the late Senator Paul Wellstone of Minn. "Politics is not about big money and power games, it's about the improvment of peoples lives."

Slobodan Bites The Dust

Well it sounds like a bit of "karma justice" was delt in the last couple days. Slobodan Milosevic the Serb leader who was being tried for war crimes was found dead in his cell apparently from taking the wrong drugs or something like that (at this point I don't really care, it's just good he is gone.) Slobodan was being held outside of The Hague which is a city in the Netherlands (yes the city is named The Hague) where the International Court of Justice resides. The International Court of Justice is basically the United Nations court you could say. Slobodan was a pretty nasty man he was accused of ethnic cleansing, crimes against humanity and being sub human really (which he did all of.)

One day I would like to visit The Hague and the International Court. The history there is rather impressive be it sad. I think that it is important to have a least a little bit of an idea how things like the International Court operates and what the idea is behind it because as citizens of the globe we have certain requirments of us and one of them is to protect humanity.
